About
There should be more to life than work.
ASOBI brings together people who enjoy living actively, discovering new experiences and spending time with like-minded people. We take the quality of our experiences seriously, but never take ourselves too seriously.
Why ASOBI exists
We spend years building our careers, pursuing ambitions and creating the lives we want.
But somewhere along the way our calendars fill up and our lives become repetitive. We postpone the game we wanted to play, the place we wanted to explore and the people we wanted to meet.
We believe there should be more to life than the next meeting, milestone or weekend spent catching up on everything else. We exist to make room for the other side of life: the side that is active, spontaneous, social, adventurous and enjoyable.
Because a good life isn’t just built around what you achieve. It is also shaped by what you experience, and who you share it with.
The name
ASOBI (遊び) means “play” in Japanese: not just games, but the freedom and ease of doing something purely because you enjoy it. We think of it as the feeling of a really good Sunday. Time to yourself, good company, and nowhere you urgently need to be.
Who is behind it
We are professionals and IIM alumni who know the demands of ambitious careers, and how easily everything else gets pushed to “some day”.
Our backgrounds in business, technology and strategy shape how we build: thoughtfully, with high standards, and with the community at the centre. But credentials are not the point. The people and the experiences are.
What we will never compromise
People first
The community is central to everything we do.
01Quality over quantity
We would rather create fewer great experiences than many forgettable ones.
02Respect people’s time
Every experience must be worth showing up for.
03Thoughtful execution
Details matter, from registration to the experience itself.
04Natural connections
No forced networking and no artificial community building.
05Room for everyone
Shared outlook and interests matter more than professional labels.
06Enjoyment matters
We take the experience seriously, not ourselves.

In short
Life should be more than a routine, and the best experiences are often the ones we share. So we bring people together through things worth making time for.
